About the art:
Muthabaringga is an important ceremonial ground in the Hindmarsh Valley Dreaming. It was formed by the dancing feet of our ancestors where the whale man was speared as they danced. They formed the steep hills, valley and ponds of water; and we were given fire to help us keep warm cook and for light at night. The creation of the valley made a very important gathering place for us Ramindjeri Ngarrindjeri and visitors. Traditionally we come and perform ceremonies in this valley.
