The Stackpool Collection:
This merch collection features the beautifully detailed illustrations made by Walter Stackpool (1915–1998), one of Australia’s most prolific illustrators.  

In the 1970s, Walter painted over 300 native species to illustrate Jack Pollard’s book Australian Fishes—artwork so detailed it remains a widely used reference today. He donated the original collection of paintings to the Australian National Maritime Museum in 1987.  

His works are featured here at the Museum in the Shaped by the Sea gallery.
