Christmas 2020 Orders

Note: Christmas deliveries may take longer this year due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and record order volumes. To give your parcels the best chance of arriving in time for Christmas, order as early as you can. We recommend having your orders in by Friday December 10th - we cannot guarantee their arrival before Christmas after this date.

Postage and handling

Postage and handling charges will be added to your order at time of checkout.

Orders within Australia

Postage for orders under 5kg, $10 will be charged for delivery within New South Wales and $15 will be charged for all other Australia states and territories. 

Postage for order above 5kg will be calculated depending on the weight and which State/Territory the order is being delivered to.

*This is for standard orders. Large or fragile orders may require a higher fee. Store staff will contact you if this occurs alternative delivery arrangements are available but are at the expense of the Customer. For more information on alternative delivery arrangements, please contact us.

International Orders

Charges will be calculated depending on destination and total weight of the order.

All orders are sent Air Mail. Alternative delivery arrangements are available but are at the expense of the customer.

GST is not applicable on orders sent to an address outside of Australia. The GST component will be deducted from purchases at the checkout.

There may be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside Australia. The Australian National Maritime Museum is not responsible for paying these charges.

We aim to process all orders within 48 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

If your order is urgent or required by a certain date, please contact us to confirm that the items are available for delivery by that time.

Customs clearance can add to the above timings and are beyond the Museum’s control.

Exchange and refunds

Goods supplied through the Store are purchased on a firm sale basis. Please choose carefully, and check your order details before making payment. Returns will not be accepted for any change of mind purchase.

If you receive an incorrect or faulty product, please immediately contact us and we will arrange, as appropriate, either a goods exchange or a refund. We ask that you contact us before returning the incorrect or faulty product. Goods will not be accepted for return or refund without prior authorisation, and / or that are later than 30 days after you receive the goods. To assist with processing the return, please also return the original packaging.

If your order is lost during delivery, we will send you a replacement (depending on product availability) once the maximum delivery time has expired. We ask that you contact your local mail centre before contacting us in case your order is being held. All replacement items for lost / damaged products will be shipped at our cost.

All exchanges and replacements are subject to the availability of the relevant item(s).

Credit card refunds will be processed within 5 working days of our receipt of the goods, but may take longer than that to appear on your credit card statement. Please note that cheque refunds require a long processing time.

If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, the above policy will apply.
